In My Sentra The A/c Control Isnt Working!!

I DONT KNOW WHATS THE PROBLEM, ITS BEEN WORKING FINE AND THEN THE OTHER DAY I TURNED IT OFF TO TALK TO A DRIVE THRU PERSON.. AND WHEN I TURNED IT ON TO MOVE IT TO THE 1,2,3 IT DIDNT TURN ON.. BUT FROM OFF TO THESE NUMBERS U CAN HEAR IT TURN ON BUT NO AIR BLOWS OUT.. BUT WHEN I PUT IT INTO 4.. IT TURNS ON PERFECTLY.. JUST THAT IT GETS REALLY TOO COLD AND IF I TURN IT OFF IT GETS FOGGY IN MY CAR PLUS HOTLOL.. ANYWAYS ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS OR WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT THIS.. IM TRYING TO AVOID GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP TO TELL ME THE SAME THING IM TALKING ABOUT NOW.. GET THEM GETTING PAID FOR IT.. OR DO I JUST NEED TO BUY A NEW A/C CONTROLLER..JOE:help

fan speed resistor.in the ducting between the blower motor and the a/c.

if its the thin printed circuit type fan speed controler it will be expensive.check that the blower motor free spins or hasnt got paper in it.other wise it might get very expensive.

the resistor is bad as dave said. you need to make sure the blower motor isnt drawing to much current (hence the checking for paper/ or foriegn material in the squirel cage) this is what burns up the card. it could also be a bad bushing or dirty contacts in the motor assembly.
