Just got my baby (95 Q45) w/ 63000 miles out of the shop, they put in new steering rack and drive shaft. Yeah!!!!!will I thought so.

Any way now the steering wheel shimmeies and the body vibeates at about 65. Do I take it back to the dealer and yell, "What did you do?" or is there break in period.

I forgot the steering very very loss, I can turn the wheel with my little finger. How many pounds does take turn wheel?

Come on guys what should I do? And what do I tell the dealer?:(

Tell them what you told us... it should steer basically the same way it did before - just without the leaks.

I would definately bring it back. There is no break in period on a driveshaft that would cause vibration.

I can only speak to the steering..... my 90q has the feel of a sports car in the steering.... the 94 feels more like a full size American car.... two very different feels.

Car dealer blues. They do the repairs but don't bother to check and see if it's right or not!!!! Take it back but be ready for a fight...

The pinion preload adjustment [rack retainer adjustment] requires a scientists to set.Need a zero -15 pound electronic fish weighing scale to measure the steering wheel turning resistance. Which varies with fluid temperature!

Never done correctly.........study page ST7 in FSM.
