In-Line Fuel Pumps

I have searched and come up with nothing i was looking for.

I was wondering if anyone has used an In-line fuel pump rather than in tank. the reason i ask is i plan to go with a fuel cell in the near future and doing so would make upgradeing to the walbro in tank sorta stupid. I have a very basic idea of how im going to set it up but just wanted to know if people have had much success with the style of set up or if anyone would have some good insight on it.

I'm using a msd pump. Its works fine.
