its not hard...a small 12v source and continuity test light...S13xCrazy wrote:goodluck tracing wires if you have a short?
i did mention i was pressed to go with 1 color wire didnt i? and this thread isnt meant to be a literature piece or anything...they were just notes on the pictures....Dattebayo wrote:Yeah, I was gonna say FAIL for not using enough different wire colors.
This whole thread is not easy to read either. Sorry!
I am sorry if you took offense, but I thought the point of an article was to be informative, easy to read and helpful? I only found one out of three in this one. Perhaps you could alter the original post to reflect on one more of these qualifications?Rin5 wrote:i did mention i was pressed to go with 1 color wire didnt i? and this thread isnt meant to be a literature piece or anything...they were just notes on the pictures....
Thanks man. Yeah ive heard different locations. Touge' did his right underneath the battery tray and i heard from WhiteComet he is putting it in the glovebox. I just found it convenient to be in the trunk where my battery is. Ill post the detailed pics of the connections and how it looks when its all hidden and wrapped up, i just didnt bring the right SD card.StandardProspect wrote:well, i thought you did a good job
its not really a write-up, but you showed us basically what to do.
i might try this, however i already relocated mine elsewhere in the engine bay and i only had to splice a few wires.
good work
There ya go! I'll be waiting for the update~!Rin5 wrote:Ill post the detailed pics of the connections and how it looks when its all hidden and wrapped up, i just didnt bring the right SD card.
I would seriously consider adding a rubber grommet here (you can buy them split, or just split it yourself). A few wraps of electrical tape aren't enough to keep the metal from wearing through.Rin5 wrote:
when relocating my fuse blocks and wiring, i considered this as well. the only wires that needed extended were a few for headlights and turn signals. everything else was relocated with no extendingslipnfall wrote:I didn't read in *detail* the wires you extended, but worth noting: the point of the fuse box in the 'bay is to protect lengths of wires from shorts. You fuse as close to possible to the source. Extending wires upstream of the fuse is asking for melted wires.
Do you have pics of your setup?AZhitman wrote:I disassembled mine, relocated it underneath the battery tray area, built a mount for it, and reassembled it.
Only had to extend the large alternator wire (Nissan uses WAY too much wire )
Good job, though - Props for tackling what many people puss out on!!!
if you meant the wires and some plugs, yes it is accessible. if you meant the fuses and relays, then they are next to my battery in the trunk and it is easily accessible.slipnfall wrote:Can you access it through the fender well?
yeah i know but like i titled the post *(simple) its cuz i was short on time and short on resources and needed to do itMastaYu wrote:wow thats alot of wires
If you want to see a pic of an engine bay with no wires, I think I have one.leesredgt wrote:

lol. I mainly want to see were and how you mounted your fuse box underneath your battery tray.AZhitman wrote:
