I found the little rubber button attached to the brake pedal responsible for pressing the brake light switch had crumbled and popped out. With nothing to push the button the lights remained on all afternoon before I noticed them.

Quick fix: M6x1" bolt, M6 lock washer, M6 washer and M6 nut. Install that combo into the hole where the rubber plug once lived. Problem solved permanently.

Thanks for reading!

Mods can you fix the spelling of the title? Please and Thanks:)
