I was wondering if anyone here has (a) video camera mount(s) in their cars. I was looking around and they are kinda cheap/easy to make, and looked cool. You can also get nice tiny spy cameras with night vision for like 30 dollars. Wouldnt that be pimp to have on looking out the windshield/shifter, or out the back?anyways. if you guys have any ideas, lemme knowPeace

-put one in the grille, -underneath the car about halfway, pointing towards the back of the car-underneath the dash pointed towards pedals-one pointed directly at the shifter-one pointed at the gauge cluster mounted on the steering column

...u could make some sweet as videos if u were capable of editing...

my favorite idea is to mount one under the car, halfway back...pointed towards the back of the car...so u could see the tires and the view of the back...it would especially be sweet in drifting so u could see the the view of the back sliding out and the tires smoking....

...i think i need sleep...

if you had an indash monitor with several feeds, you could put one in the grill, and one facing out back, use the rearfacing one as your review, not sure on the legality though

I know somebody who did that in his RX7. And he has an LCD screen in place of his rear view mirror. I don't get the point, but whatever.

Also, the 02+ Q45 has that on it as an option from the factory. It is used for closeup, it comes on when you get within a certain distance of an object. It gets displayed over the navigation screen.

I think 2 camera should be good, one in the grill and the other mounted in the trunk pointing into the back, to see you opponent. I would do it, but no money, i think it is sweet

i would do the cheapo way and just drill some holes in a piece of wood put the wood in between headrest and seat, put full size 8mm camera in between driver and passenger seat. not as cool, but would work.

I've used those before. There was a guy selling ones made from alluminum on the interenet at one point. I borrowed one at a track day. I made my own once for another track day. They work swell.

you can find b/w night vision ones off ebay for like $20 and color ones for not much more; friend of mine ordered like 5 b/w ones and a couple color ones cuz hes a big video dude. They just hook up to your video camera and record onto that; theyre cool as hell to play with; can mount on hood; door; interior; anywhere! It has clamps or suction cups.
