Greetings to all,

I wanted to know if anybody has the IMPUL exhaust set-up on their 2002 -2004 Q45?

How do you like it; does it keep the factory smoothness at idle and throatier during WOT, or is it the opposite?

Nico rocks!Longlivetitus

Just stick with the OEM muffler...adding a fart can to the Q45 will make it ricey. You're better off looking into adding a cool air intake to hear the natural roar of the engine under heavy throttle.

The F50 isn't the President in Japan? I thought it was.

It is the F50 went from 2002-2006 or longer I think.

1990-2001 was the JHG50 years.

I have a '90 Q45, with Impul exhaust.

The Impul rear muffler has since been removed and replaced with straight through pipes from the diff to the rear bar.

Not sure if it would sound the same in an '02-'04 Q

When the President was redesigned for 2003 (ending the G50's 13 year run) it was merged onto the Cima's platform. Both the Cima and the President are F50 cars, but the President is essentially just a classier special variant of the Cima and not a distinct model. There's not much difference between the two. The Q is closer to the Cima, though. The President has distinctly different bodywork compared to the Q/Cima, which are nearly identical.

The F50 Cima hit lots for the 2001 model year.F50 Q followed for 2002 MY.F50 President didn't hit lots until the 2003 model year. Last of the F50 variants.Of course those dates are ignoring the US-only model-year goofiness. Only we begin our model years a year early.
