I love the car but hate the brakes.

Outside OEM, what can I get to sharpen up the brakes and this in conjunction with a likely increase in wheel rim to 8.5J and 20" from current 7.5J and 18" (OEM).

We don't go up mountains or through the forest but my BMW X3 35d stops on a penny and the Murano wallows to a halt - I need to improve that.
