Could you guys advise me on this stuff for my 94q45 with 133k miles.

Tires:Currently I am running on Firestone affinity LH 30 M+S H rated P215/65/R15(Came along when I bought the car).Which tires I should look for in that size. For performance-noiselevel-handling etc. I live in Chicago.I like the custom asa wheels the car has right now. I guess these wheels are 10 year old but still design look great. Should I consider changing the wheels because of their age( 133 k miles).

struts and springsWhich struts and springs are better for smooth ride and handling.OEM or Tokico blues and Eibach springs.

Front brake jobStillen cross drilled rotors with OEM pads. Makes lot of noise, I like it smooth, is there anything I can do to improve this stuff.

If you guys know any good infiniti auto shop in Chicago please tell me, I buy my parts from Joe.

Thank you guys.:help

Here's a quick answer...

For the 15's, I'd look at a 225/60 or 235/60 size. The ones you have are a LONG-wearing tire, better suited for Granny's Crown Vic.

Steer clear of the Tokico / Eibach if you want to retain a plush ride. But to improve handling, it's a great combo. Be prepared for a little more stiffness. The Tokicos WITHOUT the Eibach's might be your best bet, given the crappy roads there.

I'd recommend OEM rotors (I have a deal on brakes OR buy from Joe/any other advertiser) with the OEM pads for your application.

I don't think you can go wrong with Michelins as tires. They keep their balance a long time and aren't too heavy to start with. You end up paying more for them then round&black generics, but it is money well spent.

For a dealer, try Infiniti of Lisle. For tires, I would try the Yokohama AVS dB S2, Michelin Pilot XGT V4, Continental ContiExtremeContact, or Michelin Pilot XGT H4 in 225/60-15.

Personally, the XGT H4 is the only H rated tire I would consider.

Do a search and you will find voluminous and informative posts on tires.

I am quite happy with my pre-S2 Yokohama AVS dB, but I prefer the no longer available Firestone SZ50 EP.

Hitman I dont wanna hear any more smack about grandma tires!! :D :D

I really think that youll like the ride with the tokico shocks and stock springs.. Its firm but its not TOO firm and the car still handles nice... No, its no cadillac or lincoln towncar with air-ride, but its still very nice and what I would expect a performance luxury car to be...

I just bought the XGT V4's in 215/65/15 about 3 weeks ago and love them. The ride is quieter and my car handles noticeably better. Hurry up and get them now! Michelin is offering a $50 rebate on sets of tires until 8/7/04.

Nick :)
