i have been driving a new

i35 for the past 500 miles while the old q has been getting corrosion issues fixed under warranty.I feel the I35 is way quicker off the line, however the torque steer is horrible and dangerous! the suspension transmits much vibration thru the body of car-rear suspension especially! The wheel mounted radio controls are nice but unlit, causing many misapplications while cycling thru the trip information cycles.overall, after stepping back into the 123,000 mile q,the q is sooo much more of a luxury car, while the i does not have the specialness that it needs to make it stand out from the crowd. It is sad to see how a 34,000 car does not feel anything special or outstanding compared to a lower priced accord or camry, much less an altima with its tupperware interior.

I will have to repesctfully disagree.

Actually, I like the I35 quite a bit and have always enjoyed those loaners.

Also they are more like 30,000 cars and I feel they represent good value.

If I wer to win lottery I would ahve one as my winter car ( the interiors are especially smashing in charcoal, but I guess that goes for all Nissan/Infinitis)

In the front-drive, entry-level, luxury market, my bias goes to the Acura TL and Mazda Millenia S (Supercharged). Both handle acceptably, with well controlled torque steer. The Millenia especially has excellent control over dive and squat. The 2000 Acura TL I drove with 49k offered spirited acceleration, but wasnt as quick off the line as a mid-90s Maxima.

I made that edit not for reasons of language, but because it belittled other members rides.

I like my I30 more than the new I35's The torque steer is not nearly as bad, of course, the HP is not as much. I think the 227 of the 2000 I30t is plenty for FWD.

The things I do like on the I35: Steering wheel radio controls, grille, trip computer, compass.

The things I don't like on the I35: Plastic/Wood on steering wheel, no storage on dash, in-dash CD changer, ash tray, torque steer, 3rd headrest, handles on the rear of the front seats.

The things on the wife's I30, that I wish I had on the Q, is the single in-dash CD player (in addition to the trunk changer), the glass roof, and the rear screen.
