Importing Large Parts

Hey Everyone,


Does anyone have experience importing large and/or expensive parts from sites like Amayama or Partssouq? I have found some fantastic deals on parts and people online seem to generally like these suppliers, but their websites mention that customers may be responsible for importing/duty charges.

For example: If I were to purchase an entire engine, would I run into a lot of hassle when it comes to importing? Would I know the exact duty charge before actually purchasing?

I appreciate any knowledge y'all can lend me.

Maybe doing a dry run w/ those mentioned and others . You pick the hypothetical engine , online ?? then go through ALL the HOPPs AND JUMPS ...questions.....shipping...... DUTY- ya !........all the way up to pushing that PAY NOW button ? DONT PUSH IT NOW
That way your NOT off the top listening to , well meaning , BUT second - hand anecdotingly ( I misscrewed the word ,..) , lawyer would call here-say....no offense taken ,,,,,,,and OF COURSE ya gotta listen and hear all the 'chatter' you can get HERE .........and THERE
