So I was thinking about importing either a rx 7 for 6,080, i was just wondering how much it would be in total to be imported. Since the US has dem laws i was thinking LA but than i was also thinking canada . getting a title wouldnt be a problem for me in canada since i got family up there.

I live in Chicago,IL. js

You need to be careful about "dem laws"...first of all they will be enforced on you if you try to go around them and realistically it'd just be easier to either follow the appropriate title/legalization process. Of course, you're also getting a car that is available for purchase in the USA. That means a bonafide legal ride! So why not just skip all the hassel and buy a legal US car. Just a thought.....

This American suggests you do some homework before pulling the trigger on importing a used RX-7 from Canada. Depending on the car and how close it meets US requirements, you could end up with a bureaucratic mess on your hands.

My question is: Why do you bother asking for advice when you apparently have it all planned out anyway?

Driving a RHD car in the US is a PITA. Legalizing one another PITA bigger than the previous PITA.

Let me give you a taste of what will happen when you bring your stupidity from Canada to America in a grey market RX7.

I love this isht. OP to do it legally you will end up spending a lot more than its worth. Study the EPA and NHTSA regulations, then come talking some isht about knowing what you're doing.
