Importing car without engine?

This is not a skyline question but, i'm sure you guys can relate. I'm wanting to build a shop car with a local speed shop. The cars are going for an outrages amount in the usa and dirt cheap in the UK. If i have the exporter take the factory engine out prior to importing, is it a simple process of getting the paper work done? Again, i'm not referring to skyline!

All the information is already here all you have to do is read but this information refers to Skylines so I don't know if it will do you any good?

if the chasis is going to be used as a race car you can ship it with the engine and everything. if the chasis is going to be used on the street it has to be stripped completly.. engine, doors, suspension, in one container and the shell with just the dash in other... good luck
