So i was wondering if its legal or not legal to import and register the car into the States ? cause i know RHD cars and so on have problems but since its like the s14 we have ..exept for the goodies

TIA

well since the european environmental standards are as restrictive as us , you proabably could, but then there is the whole sr20 rwd engine that may mostlikely cause a problem. you don't have to worry aboutgetting a crash tested, since the same chasis car already exists here. so one good news there. but i say look into it deeper.

There shouldn't be any problem with bringing back a track car. I don't believe they can do anything about that. However, you do need to have a good reason and it may only be allowed to stay in the country for a certain amount of time. I'm probably wrong about that so please correct me. Thats just what I've heard.

Yes and no. As far as drippy fluids, yes, as far as everything else, NO CHANCE. I run my RS13 w/out char canister, no cat, no res, and most of the time, no muffler. My car backfires when they run an inspection in it and give me the thumbs up every time. Euro glass is also crap, that would all have to go. Sending a 200sx out of here would be the same amount of work with more money needed than to send one out of Japan (inflated car prices and such over here), and pretty much pointless.

As far as track cars go, I have the regs at work for it, I'll look em up there, but basically, unless your vehicle was specificially built for OFF ROAD usage, then its a pain. You also have to supply a specific race history for your car (no, not for nissan, the 200sx you want to purchase).
