I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but this would be my first attempt so bear with me.

I'm looking to import a Skyline GT-R to Canada (most likely a 91) and I'm looking for ANY information anyone has in this process.

Any recommended or not recommended companies?Any good experiences?Any good/bad experiences with these vehicles?Any additional costs I should worry about?Time of delivery?Etc.

I have some friends that are also interested in importing vehicles from Japan (300zx (3L TT specifically)) so I'll pass anything I learn or experience on to them.

Thanks in advance!

google is a wonderful thing!

http://www.canadiandriver.com/...t.htmSince you are in MB, remember that you will have to pay freight from Vancouver to Winnipeg, which may be as (or more) expensive than the shipping from Japan to Vancouver.

The only company from Japan that I have heard positive things from (I know 1 person that bought from them and had no problems) is http://www.japan-partner.com/ although of course there are likely hundreds of reputable dealers over there.

Hey thanks for the reply. That article is a great start for who I should contact before getting anything started and the company you mentioned was one I was looking at.

If anyone else knows of any other reputable dealers, let me know!

Thanks

Forgot to mention this...

I'm only in Manitoba until January. Here working to get the money together for the Skyline. Originally I'm from Central BC, which is where I'm going back to so I'll be able to get down to Van and drive it up. I'm sure I'm gonna get rapped from gas prices anyway, but it'll be a fun drive I'm sure.
