Im watching Horsepower TV and they are building a chevy shortblock. I really wish the import world would have a shift in focus. Less thongs and more horsepower. This show is awesome, i wish import tuners had the same dedication to performance as muscle car guys do. maybe in due time they will. i dunno what this post is about, mostly just to say horsepower tv is awesome (tho i know there have already been posts about that).

They work on Joe's son's honda civic every now and then, but the most they did was B18 swap, NAAWWWSSS, intake, exhuast, wheels, wing, graffics, and some interior stuff. super 2nrs did that supra build, but i agree, we need a show like horsepower TV, but with import cars. less focus on peopls rides that feature tons of body kits and wings and stereos, and more on building up cars.

No, not horsepower TV for imports, how about suspension setup, road course events, stuff like that.

Let the rednecks have their 800HP SBC's that run 3.5" wide wheels up front and M/T's in the back.

well, i didnt mean just building drag cars, but cars in general. get a few project cars, like trucks. maybe an old sentra and make it an autocross car, and maybe another for drag, etc. maybe we should get a show together.

I want Horsepower TV for imports. They have great cars that alot are daily drivers too. They do everything from exhaust installs on a Kingfish to an engine buildup for a chevy small block. I would like nothing more than to be able to watch a TV show that has 2 mechanics (not wannabes) swapping an SR20 in a 240, a brake upgrade on an Acura, or a sway bar install in a mazda. Im tired of watching an entire import tv show and realizing i just watched 8 minutes of girls in a bubble pit, 6 minutes of show cars, 4 minutes of wet tee shirt contest and 4 minutes of actual performance talk.

haha, and those 4 minutes of performance talk is either then sticking a car on the bottle, or putting a CAI, or the worst part about NOPI tuner vision or Highrev Tuners, getting some dumbass girl to interview the guys who know what they are doing. "so, ive never heard of a skyline before, is it fast and why didnt you enter the car show?"

yea it would be nice..move the import world into something a little more respectible... with so much bashing done on the import scence it would be nice to get something of quality on national tv bring up the respect level to those outside the scene

before we can have a show like hp tv, the import scene needs to change. i know alot of the reason these shows are like this is because of what the public wants. the reason middle-aged muscle car tuners look down on people like us is because that exact reason. a "ricer" is a steriotype, but i know alot of people that fit that category who own imports. so i cant really blame them for thinking that. i wish some of the guys here could take a look at Aries's 240SS, id get a kick out of that
