"You have to forgive Nissan for its early 1990s transgressions: 4000-pound 300ZX convertibles, the 240SX and the like. But this century Nissan's proving their addiction to speed is real by spinning some low-end fervor from the Sentra and beefing up just about everything it offers through NISMO's magic party catalog."

WTF?!?

I like how they say the 240SX is crap, and there is a giant banner with a 240 on the top of the page. Hypocrits rockhttp://www.villagephotos.com/b...56695

I wonder if they count the R32 among their list of "transgressions."

Fools.

They must be talking Nissan in America. Lack luster truck motor compared to a 2.0 L turbo with unlimited potential, I'd be the first to say we got screwed.

240 owners dont buy from their sponsors and we whoop the piss out of their readers on the streets. Why not lay it out there? they dont like us, we dont like them.

I think someone should write a letter to the editor and sign it by the fellow 240 owners from nico and tell them with words they will never forget!

Amen! MMM HUMMM!

Then the 240 owners would get a reputation of being total badasses and scare silly ricers and then they wouldn't mess with us.

I don't think it would do anymore damage to the mainstreams opinion of enthusiasts/car guys. Cuz they all think we're criminals that rob semi's and sell crack anyways........

I'd imagine that's what they were referring to. I don't think the KA is a poor engine by any means, but it's a shame we didn't get the SR. From an enthusiast's point of view, I'd call that a transgression.

As for the Z car comment. It wasn't fat, just big boned.

Yeah, but try pushing even a NA 91 and up 300ZX up a slight hill if it dies, or try push starting one. Good f**king luck.

Anyone read Import Racer!, one of the authors just bought an 89 240 fastback and they did a complete write up on the sr swap he had done with a ton of pic and tips.

PS: They also have started covering more drifting and just put out Drifting(an american drifting mag), which even had an article about tuning 240sx to drift for begginers.

That drifting mag was pure crap IMO. I read sport compact and thats good enough for me. Let the ricers hate 240's I'd prefer it that way anyways. Too bad it won't happen.

I have the latest ImportRacer!, I am almost ashamed to say. I bought it for the swap article. All in all, it wasn't terrible. An interesting read.

But, it did have a Civic with an "S15 Strawberry conversion" that made me want to hit something. Like, well, that civic.

hahaha I must have missed that civic. I usually skip right to the show coverage and some installs for ideas, and of course the ads. I for the most part I really like import racer, drifting needs work though(seemed a lil half-a55'd). The sr swap should really have had more instructions IMO. However I will never forget back in april they ran an article on moding a ford tempo as an april fools joke, then a month or 2 later some guy wrote in tellin them how excited and happy he was that they were giving the tempo attention.

I hope this is the end of the whole 240 craze. how much do you want to bet that they'll be swinging from our nuts after they feature the D1 competition? after Taniguchi lays the smack down, what will they say about us then? they don't even want to really expose the dark Underworld (I can't wait until that movie comes out!) of one of Japan's favorite sisters. and justify another import or domestic manufacturer with as solid a heritage and current lineup as Nissan. 300? 350? _uckin' SKYLINE?! not to mention the GT 300 monster and drift badass that we all drive and love? and the altima, etc...

i agree with krazey skwerel, id rather magazines put down the 240 so there arent as many ricers out to buy and steal our precious cars.
