I'm not sure about the U.S., but in Canada, all that car would be good for is parts. You can't import cars newer than 15yrs (unless BRAND NEW) unless you have them re-vinned (read illegal) or use them "off road" only. A close friend of mine IRL runs
www.importconcern.ca . A site which specifically deals with importing cars from Japan. He is usually able to get JDM cars for much cheaper than their Canadian or American counter-parts. Then you tag on their profit margin (which is decent) and their cheap freight rates and you're sitting at around the same price, just usually you end up with a better car, or a car already modified.
