Ok, I think you'd be better off just converting a 240 becaue to import a silvia,

1. Find a car either by flying over and buying one or having someone you trust, like someone you'd trust with your sister find you one.$5000-$20000

2. ship the car to the U.S.??

3. Put the car through customs. This is just so the car can be in the U.S. not registering it.$3000-$6000

4. Legalizing the car for onroad use, passing various emissions and saftey tests and getting a U.S. replacement vin.$10000 more or less, It around that for a skyline if motorrex does it, but every car has different standars and cost for legalization.

5. A **** load of paper work.

The only advantage to it is that you can find a **** load of nice used cars in Japan because the japanese governement actaully adds taxes on vehicals after they have reached a certain age. They do this to promote groth in the auto industry.

So unless you've got alot of money to throw around and can be free for like a month while the whole process is going on, it's pretty much outlandish at best to make happen.

oh.. and it doesnt cost 10000$ to get it legalized. It might cost 10k to make it pass emissions, but you have to crash something like 6 of the same vehicle, or better put DOT (depart. of transportation) has to crash like 6 cars. This is to make sure that the car meets the standards of US saftey regulations. This MIGHT not apply for s13's and s14's since that chassis already exist here, but Im pretty sure DOT could care less, they probably just enjoy crashing hte car ;)

so pretty much, to open the flood gates, so to speak, you have to be the first to crash however many of these cars. Or someone has to do it for you (just like.. I think its motorex that crash tested the first skylines so that they could import them)

No one that I know of has done this for a silvia, so just get a front clip, if you get it from the right people you can get guaranteed body panels and front dash..

Hey if you went to Checkers, you'd be straight with the drive through. They have the passenger drive through...
