try looking over this link, they will give you some info

but it depends what your plans would be for your car. are you planning to do a swap? if so then you could save money and buy and cheap shell and put the money saved towards a swap. it all depends on what you want to do with the car...

Buy a shell with a clean title for 300-500. A shell is already typically stripped. Use this shell and wire back in the a nice harness. If you are going RB, this is the best way to start. SR20 is a lot easier for a first time swap.

Searching the nico forums will teach you a lot of details about a 240sx. You should start here, and learn what you will be getting into.

ok, NOT bashing you, but.....if money is an issue, WHY buy a project car.....

as said if its strictly a project get something cheap, like a rolling shell, and go from there

I would go with a full interior shell.. of the 4 RB and 3 SR swaps I have done a full interior *usually* means an unmolested interior harness which is tons of help with following wiring diagrams to make it functional just the way you want it. engine harness is easy to tie in when you know the right dash wires are in the right place.. :)
