Okay so this winter I had planned to build my rb25 for 600whp, full engine build and everything doing it right....I figured that will cost me about 14k to do. I have been doing some soul searching and since im gonna have engine out already would it be more wise to switch to a rb26 where as they can produce 600whp all day with just a metal HG+cams and a mild valvetrain job?

On a side note, since I already have the rb25 installed and everything how much work is involved with swapping a 26 in? Will I have to change wire harnesses/motor mounts/mod engine bay stuff etc...

Would love some input

OR. . .you could buy a RB26 crank and make it a mini stroker, also need 26 pistons. Solid lifter conversion with Procams or Kelford cams and you have yourself a poor mans RB26. Dont know your turbo setup but you could get a badass manifold/turbo combo with the money you would spend on a RB26 longblock.

I should prolly just stay with the 25 cause its alot less hassle to swap everything

You will be close to maxing out a HX40 at 600, you could go with a Precision 6262 or Borg Warner S300 series and not have to boost over 40 psi to get there

I dont want the spool of a 6262.... HX40 spools quicker than 35r and flows more... 600 is pushing the hx40 a little but my goal is 600, will I actually achieve it prolly not so realistically id be happy with 550whp and in a s13 550 is going to be nuts

6262 has a 62mm turbine wheel so it will spool faster than both and support over 700whp.

Hmm might have to look into that then, the only downfall is the 1400$ price tag on them

I have a GT35R turbo kit for sale in the RB classified section. I bought a bigger turbo and need a new manifold. Full boost right at 4k and pulled all the way to 7500, this turbo will get you all the way to 600HP at a reasonable price.
