I picked up a rearview mirror out of a 95? Suburban and installed it in my s13.IT WORKS!!! It has Direction, Temp, and auto Tinting. might be the greatest idea ive had. I hate ***holes with bright a** lights shining in my eyes.

sick... that's a good idea. How did you wire it in? I have the same dilemma, for some reason Infiniti installed auto dimming mirrors on a 95 Infiniti J30 but not a 2001 Infiniti QX4

Two of the family vehicles have those auto dimming mirrors and I HATE them. On our cars, they turn everything green and it doesn't block enough light.

That said, your looks great. Direction and temperature are nifty. Where is the thermometer for the mirror?

haha, nice dude! I too was planning on doing this. Just couldn't decide on a mirror. There are so many awesome OEM mirrors out there! once you figure out the wiring, the possibilities are pretty crazy

Oh and theres a hole in your panties---I mean headliner

Nice.

I love auto dimming mirrors. So nice not being blinded by jerks in big trucks.

Auto dimming mirrors are cool but not really necessary.I bought Broadwar rearview mirror that blocks glare, and is curved so I can see a lot. I like it more than the mirror in our Q45.

Direction and temp is pretty cool though.

Its located under the left fender on the Suburban. Wiring is pretty easy since its all colored. I push the Comp button to see direction or temp. The dimming I can also turn on and off with the mirror button. If anyone was to replace theirs, This would be the best mirror to get hands down. Onlu 6 bucks at the junk yard

Did you put the temp sensor in your fender as well? This is pretty cool, I wonder what other nifty OEM things you can find in cars.

I would love the wiring diagram. I have an auto dimming mirror but having one that has the outdoor temp and compass built in would be even nicer. I have to hit buttons on my Mark to bring up those options on my display.

That's exactly the same mirror that's in my LS. Directions for setting the correct compass zone and for calibrating the compass can be found here if you need them:http://www.motorcraftservice.c...e.pdfPage 111, it's the "without navigation" mirror.
