So I thought the deadline to send out the W2s was the 31st...I still havnt received mine even though the building is 4 minutes away from my house. I was told to call the IRS and they said I cant file a clam until Feb 15th because thats the deadline for delivery. This IMO makes no damn sense and Im getting very frustrated. I get home to not only not seeing my W2s again but my damn dog went trough the trash... Im so done with today.

W2s have to be mailed by the 31st, so could be a couple days after that to recieve them.

What is worse is getting mine completed 2 days ago to find out that the Fed isn't taking any returns usuing itemized deductions until at least the 15th. Meanwhile my credit card interest keeps piling up waiting on them.

The govt runs the mail too, its possible.

Especially if they have an outside vendor produce their W2 forms, could be coming from anywhere.

I use my last paystub, and get the tax id off last years return and file on the net. My situation might be different from yours though.

Those of us that itemize have to wait a little longer this year though, which is lame.

Yea, I just got off my butt and went to do my taxes and found out I have to wait till after the 14th because I itemize. Plus I realized the bank hasnt' sent out our 1099-int for the savings account. Ghey.
