haha well first parts true, but im not giving it away yet! !

ok lates prob. today i took out the generic bosch BOV, put in a turboxs type-h 34 racing bypass valve, put in 2 packer washers and start it up, runs, back fires, and sputers, doesnt like runing, so i add another, runs the same, add a 4th one, the car is knocking, backfiring, sputering, and diesling when its about to die and wont, and shakes very violently an dies off... im asssuming its the BOV out of adjustment as it ran fine with the other BOV on it,.. i just need some feed back on what else it maybe and some encouragement cause this is draining me every time i see it !!!

If its a diaphram BOV then it won't work, it has to be a piston type BOV.

check timing, sounds almost like you have 87 octan in it. I don't think that's a BOV issue, why don't you disconnect it and see if it still happens, or swap the BOSCH back into it.

Hi,

Movingviolation get a good point, disconnect the bov and see if it runs better, also it could of been that you accidently disconnected the AFM or an injector , or the power trans. module is gone bad, it could be many things, but I would start with disconnecting the BOV.

yeah i wasnt doing to good when we put it in i was already running at over 30hrs with out sleep i was really tired an getting easily frustrated so i just gave up before i screwed somthing up for good.. i think paul(movingvilotation) is right it unfortunaly has 87 in it but that was just to get it started up i have to drain the tank and fill it with some 93 this sunday when i get to work on it again !! ive also been thinking the ign chip might be going bad as its sounding like its not firing on all 4.. ill let you guys know when i work on it next time !!

you know whats funny, i cant even get my ride running but i have a waiting list of cars going into my garage for work in the next month or so!! im pulling in a 81 or 85 Rx7 for some brake work an a clutch, then a 89 supra turbo is comming in and we are tearing down the motor an rebuilding it with some Na pistons to rasie compression an a few other goodies, and tonight i just got a call from a old friend and he just bought a 94twin turbo Rx7 and hes going to let me get my hands on it soon !! not to mention turbo work on a 85 saab900turbo looks like ill be learning alot of stuff this spring

hey jon how bog of a turbo you want for the fd? i got a t51r kit i can have shipped over and a few other kits. suspension for that is easy to. tell me what brand and i will have it come over to.

took it out and around town bout 40miles on it tonight !! i raced a 85 rx7 gave him 2 cars an i pulled on him the car is going to be hell of alot faster then a KA 240 !!!! i cant wait for the money to build back up an i can move on to phase 2 of the project !!!!
