Ok, so my car hasnt been idling at all, I have to give it gas to keep it even running.

Well i found out what the culprit was.... on the back of the CA intake manifold there is a backing plate that is held onto the intake manifold with four bolts , this has the nipple for the fpr and a few other things. Well I noticed that there was a cracked hole in it about an inch in diameter. Theres my idle problem right there.....

I took this plate off, and now need a new one.

If ANYONE has this little plate that comes off of the back of the ca18det intake manifold and has the fpr and vac fittings, let me know the prices for it shipped to 76020.

Thanks alot,

Austin

why not just take it a welding shop and have them weld it up for you. would be easier then trying to find a new one.

now you said diameter of the cracked hole is 1 inch, is it a round hole or a crack 1 inch long. if its just a crack, i would throw some jb weld on it to hold it over until you can source a new back plate.

im with trigger on this one you can take that and get it welded up.would be cheaper too.i dont think you are going to find someone that wants to part out just the plate of a intake.but i might be wrong.it might cost 10 bucks to get it welded up.but i havent seen it either.post a pic of it.the crack/hole
