assume you meant Ipad. Either way the last video with Iphone video switch. Is there a way to go the other way around?
3 Reasons:
1: the 3 word text display and no touch screens interface on stock is bad
2: Other video apps you can npot display the iphone/ipod interface for app use and no touch screen again make it difficult driving
3: the stock screen resolution would look bad with iphone os
So my ideas:
throw in a simple double din touchscreen like pioneer avh series for $300 and you get better sound quality apps navigation through your iphone all you need right but can you then take the stock screen and its output from that place (i assume there is no HU guts behind the screen all the stereo and modules are below) and then convert that output into...
A: take the screen and maybe into a smaller one remove or relocate the center speakers from the bose center speaker area and have it recess and pop up as needed with a switch for functional things
b: same concept I have seen people on west coast make screens like holograms very simply with a mirror or something or can you find a small projector that fits in that same area and send the lcd video signal to the projector and have it display hologram in that area above the center speaker. or better yet by the driver side a pillar ares have it project the screen in the corner.
c: get a sunvisor lcd or flip down lcd where the sunglass holder is and run the signal up there.
d: if the lcd screen can be sent into a AV cable why not plug it back into the aux in of the new HU?
Basically very simple standard double din 6.1 or 7" I assume fit in that space? So real question is has anyone pulled the signal off the lcd screen into a AV/RCA/DB9 cable? if so that options are limitless just need to find a good cheap hologram projector. I have seen even a free iphone app that does hologram displays. you leave your iphone on the dash facing up and it projects onto the windshield!
