about 2 weeks a got my stereo setup and installed it in my car. it was a hifonics brutus 1500 watt amp, powering a 12" orion h2. i had it in a sealed box with an optima redtop. i blew my first box up, just by the power of the h2. i got a sealed box again, and it sounded awesome. then it started to rattle, and i noticed the cone was seperated from the rubber surround. i had to spend $40 to ship it back to california, considering the sub and packaging weighed 50 pounds. i also have been without my system for over a week and a half, and probably wont be gettiing it within the next week. i really wanted to have it in before the end of school, but the bad craftmanship of such an expensive sub screwed me over. im kinda pissed, but can i atleast get the money for shipping? what would you guys do?

man that sucks I had to do the same thing your going through except 3 times. my sub was around 40lbs and only ran like around 25 bucks to ship but that was over a year ago. It sucks having a system for a afew weeks then waiting months for the damn company to get you your s*** back. I don't think theres anything you can do about the shipping since more than likely its in the fine print for the warranty.

I would be too... I blew 2 subs I had because the guys that installed it tuned it like morons... had to ship em off to get fixed or replaced (cost like 40 or 50 bucks shipped and insured but I didn't have to send mine as far as you do) and it took a few weeks, but they just gave me brand new ones so I was happy... Boston Acoustics... They did me well... if I were you, I would call them and check on the status... That's what I did with boston cause I got impatient too, but when I called they had already shipped my new ones out. Give em a call, it'll probably be reassuring at the very least.
