Man, I wish! VLSD was an option, even on SE's. So there exists SE's that don't have things like VLSD or ABS... like mine.Skyline_BNR34 wrote:From one of the articles here, all S14's were VLSD, as I recall.
dont post stuff you dont know.Skyline_BNR34 wrote:From one of the articles here, all S14's were VLSD, as I recall.
And the 95 and 97 are identical in every aspect except from ends, same generation of car so everything will easily bolt up and swap over.
Same with a 89 240 to a 93. Same generation, just different bumpers and engines, but all other parts would swap right over too.
Door cables? Do you mean the wires going into the door? You will need to take off the door panel to get into the guts of the door and see if all the wires unclip or not.
there was so many variations of "base" model. one of mine had everything my se had except 5 lug and a white face gauge cluster, oh and a rear sway bar. other than that the were the same. power windows (which all s14's had) power locks, sun roof, power mirrors, trunk release, cruise control, and a few other things that were the same. but i wish they both had abssimmode1 wrote: Man, I wish! I didn't re read the article and I know it said something about them having them, but It must have been about the Japanese spec ones that all came with or most did at least.motoman399 wrote:dont post stuff you dont know.Skyline_BNR34 wrote:From one of the articles here, all S14's were VLSD, as I recall.

not all s14's had vlsd. very few of them did actually.
the 95-98 are NOT the same car. there are lots that are the same, but there are lots that are different
and you will not have to remove the door panels to detach the wires. just pull the wire loom from the car and the plugs will be just inside.
Funny huh? I also find it funny aftermarket parts normally go from 98-94 and 95-98. If your logic was right, nothing from the 95-96 models should interchange, and nothing from the 89-90 models should interchange with the 91-94 models either. From 1997 to 1998 the 240SX S14a is commonly referred to as Kouki/kōki (後期, lit. latter period). Changes over the 1995-96 models were primarily aesthetic, including new aggressive projector headlights, front bumper, hood, fenders and revised taillights and center panel. Side skirts became standard on the SE and LE trim level. 1998 marked the end of production for the Nissan 240SX, with no further variations of the S platform released in America.

first you dont know me noob. i know more about s14's than most. second i never said that the 95-96 was more different than alike from the 97-98. maybe you should re-read what i wrote?Skyline_BNR34 wrote: I also find it funny you think the 95-98 are more different then alike. I would find it completely odd if Nissan decided to re-engineer their car every year so none of the parts carried over in that current generation. Maybe a few parts are upgraded from 95 to a 98, but the cars are the same with exception of the front end.
no im not talking about suspension. that is all the same. i know that. im talking about everything else. some interior panels, fuel pump assemblys, smog equipment, the obvious front ends, wiring, ect.Skyline_BNR34 wrote: If you're trying to tell me that if I had a 95 S14's upper control arm or something that it wouldn't fit on a 98 then please.
nobody f*** cares about other cars. give it upSkyline_BNR34 wrote: It's like the Mazda Miata. The early models had pop-up headlights also, then they went to solid lamps style, yet the only change body wise was a new front end, the mechanical drivetrain parts would still all fit, it just received a "face-lift" just like the S14a of 97-98.
The Viper R/T 10 to the Coupe version of the same generation also. Same motor and suspension, yet it not didn't have a convertible top.
Should I go on about Generations of cars or do you get what I'm saying.

Seems to me you were trying to say they were way different. Looks wise yes, mechanically no.the 95-98 are NOT the same car. there are lots that are the same, but there are lots that are different
to me that says that they are similar, yet still have a lot of differences to set them apart.motoman399 wrote:
