im new to NICO this is my first post. need help with a rubing problem

i bought a 92 240 a while ago and recently started the building process all i have is header, test pipe and a cat back, all eBay parts, sounds pretty good. anyways....

my problem lies somewhere between the fact that i probable put it on wrong and the fact this is my first time doing this. and yes i put it all on my self cause i cant afford to take it to someone who know what they are doing. !!!!!!(its a one piece header by the way)!!!!!! the lower joint on the steering column rubs what would be the upper part of the down pipe (if it was a 2 piece header). what do i need to adjust or fix to stop this? please help thanks.

you have just discovered why ebay parts are so cheap, usually thay have fitment issues and often times need seriously modified when used in conjunction with other ebay parts that also have fitment issues. my ebay header needed bent there and where the egr used to go and my cat delete became a custom joint between the header and the exhaust to keep it from rubbing the seat belt bolt. your local exhaust shop should be able to modify it to fit for a reasonable price.
