I bought my 92 300zx about 7 months ago then three months ago i wrecked it...Its back together with a lot of bondo tiger hair and after market parts and primer, you know the same old stuff. I bought the two stock garret turbos and the res and oil lines. Some one please before this happens what am i getting myself into. I mean i have done two sr20det swaps tell me this isn't gonna be a big cluster hump of madness.

Z's are that terribly hard to work on...just kinda intimidating. Make sure you're well informed and have a service manual handy before tearing into things.

Welcome to NICO by the way.

you might want to be a bit more clear? you have an N/A and bought some turbo's you want to add to the N/A motor? It's a bit more complicated than adding turbo's if that was the extent of you plan, please clarify so that we can better help you

ok, to turbo the N/A block your gonna need a lot! more than just the turbos, you need the croddmember as one of the turbo's mounts where the N/A engine mount is! and you of course need the exhaust manifolds, the maf, the piping the intercoolers the bigger injectors, the turbo harness and ecu or a standaloe system etc... you really need to do some reading and searching and educate yourself before you get in to deep and it becomes a dead end project

well most i have the piping the mount the intercoolers a top mount which gonna need some moding from the hood a john wolf tt ecu but thats where my question about the injectors comes into play with a megasqirt box and stuff you forgot about the res the manis i have. what about a bigger throttle body? i mean all this stuff comes into play thats why i figured some one could help me because i ahve reasearched this on the net. The other stuff is greek to me i have a good idea about the turboing but everything else is a blur but thanks

sounds like your not quite grasping the megasquirt, it replaces the ecu! you can run the megasquirt or the JIM Wolf ECU, the megasquirt is an ECU! and youd get better results by asking specific questions, your gonna have a rough road adding the poarts you got to the car you have, your better off getting a front cut or selling your car in favor of a factory turbo model

the N/A and 5 speed use the same trans, and I assume the same flywheel and clutch assy as well, just take your time and make informed decissions

Wow, you've got your hands full. Either sell the NA and buy a TT or pick up a TT front clip and just swap everything over. Turboing the NA motor is just plain not worth it. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, I guess I'm somewhat local and I've been down this road before with others building Z cars so I'll be more than willing to answer all your questions
