I have the day off work and have some 8 gauge wire and ring termials here at home so I thought I would throw togehter a grounding kit. I have read a few other posts on it but they honestly didnt help much. So can anyone give me suggestions or explain in as much detail as they can what I should be doing? Thanks in advance for the help oh and its a 96 with the 5spd manual..

You don't need one on the trans. It's a manual. There won't be any improvement.

I just installed a DIY grounding kit today. I have an 01 I30 and it has had an issue for a few months. When driving in the dark the headlights would dim while braking or using windows etc. It seems to have helped in a garage test environment, will have to road test it to know for sure. The only grounds I added so far were the chassis to batt - and engine block to batt - using neg battery cables purchased at my local Napa store. I also cleaned up the oe engine ground as well.
