ok so my safc just recently started showing knock. it started of about 1-4 and by the time i reached the house was at 14. i checked the oil and it was barely visible on the dipstick. could this be the culprit. and on another note, which i hope there not related i was having overheating issues due to my belts kept breaking. i would notice my temp gauge around 210-220 degrees and i would immediatly shut her down. easy fix though my pulleys had become polished so i just roughed em up and now know more slip, but i hope im not haveing lack of oil due to HG. havent been able to check coolant yet. but i will. but i also havent noticed anything out of the ordinary either. she runs like a top and there is no loss of power that i noticed. what do you guys think.

I would do a leak down/ compression test..could be burning oil, but i wouldn't think it would burn that much... never know though these are RBs. lol. Also check and see it there is any oil around the valve covers/head if you are afraid of HG.. any oil spots on the ground?
