Im having issues with wiring in speakers.. help!

I want to start off, I dont know much about wiring electronics, and close to didley about speaker wiring. But theres is no way I am going to pay a shop when I can learn something new for free. Ive searched nico and google and havent been satisfied in my findings.

I bought this car with the positive and negative wires attatched to the speakers,with wires running under the dash, not connected to anything else on the opposite side. I have a Dual head unit (not sure what model number) with 2 RCA plugs for the front, 2 RCA plugs for the back, and two for subs. Right now Im working on the front speakers. So, there is a positive wire and a negative wire, but only one RCA plug.. How in the heck do I connect the positive and negative to a single plug?

If this is a stupid question, you can tell me.. but with an answer please!!

The RCA outputs will be used to go to an amp...so if you have an amp that will be running your front speakers you will have to hook them up to that output. Same thing with the back, if you're going to run an amp for for door/rear speakers and have subs then save yourself the hassel and just get a 4channel amp with RCA inputs for front and rear.

So for this, RCA's go to amp and the amp will have a positive and negitive for each of you'r speakers. (FL, FR, RL, RR)

If you jsut want to run speaker wire then you dont need to use the front/rear RCA outputs on your deck. Just run the speaker wire to your speakers off the deck. the purple/teal/white/gray wires (i cant remember which speaker corresponds to which color). I'd recommend to run new speaker wire to your speakers as factory wire is usually trash.

The sub RCA's...well they'll go to your amp thats going to power your subs. I dunno if im being very clear but feel free to ask any questions,

Im pretty sure I understand what your saying. Im not using an amp right now, so I will just cut and splice the speaker wires from the actual harness. Ill post if I have any further questions, thanks!
