im having a very troubling problem with mafs's.as most of you know im installing my turbo kit and when i go to start the car my mafs started to smoke. so i bought another one, and wired it exactly how everyone said i should and that one smoked too. im really not sure why its doing this, maybe it has something to do with my enthalpy tuned ecu, or maybe because my mafs is held on by a coupler to my turbo, i have no idea, please help me.-tim

whoa! that sounds bad. what year of 240 do you have? when I'm at work tomorrow I'll see if I can dig up an FSM and try and verify the wiring info. This is for a Z32 maf I assume..

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/tech_details.aspgo to this web site and download the z31 maf install document. Should give you the wire color to hook up. If your MAF is smoking then you have shorted + voltage to ground. I would check your wires and make sure that none of them are shorting out. Look for melted wire or a wire that is strip of insulation. If this is not the problem then you may have a bad ECU.
