Im gonna paint my sidemarkers gloss black what do you think?

i really hate how the j looks with red and yello sidemarkers so im gonna paint mine with gloss black for plastic spray paint. how many coats should i use u think? and do i need a clear? my car is black and i think its gonna look kool.

Why stop there? paint those red tail/stop lamps black, do the headlamps while you are at it to complete the " I am a total moron" look? If you are going to look dumb, look really dumb.

ughh use clear enamel, 3-5 coats, clear them if you want. Pick the paint up at a hobby shop. I'd red out the tails like I did on my cardomain, same with the front sidemarkers.

i wanted to paint mine black so i bought gloss black spray paint for plastic. i really dont like the red color for the sidemarkers im goin for that sporty look and my j is black. should i just use like dish soap to clean them first before i paint or alcohol? do i use a clear after or no?

i think u said transparent so my lights still shine threw right?

yea, or get them done by a body shop. That would look sick. As them to fill in the holes, and repaint the bumpers.

should i clear coat them after i spray paint them or no? the spray paint i got is gloss black i just dont want the damn sun to fade the paint out.

it shouldnt fade, but sure. Take the sidemarkers OFF the car before you paint

There's a cheap product that works very well, it's called Nightshades. I have used it a few times and it works good. Clean them with alcohol and paint them where it's warm.
