So Ive finally got my car... and have money for an engine, but deciding what engine to go with is driving me crazy. Basically I cant afford an rb25, so my choices are down to sr redtop, sr black top and rb20. Im leaning with going with the rb just because its so much cheaper than the sr (like $1200 vs $2400). But it seems to me that the sr20 is a better over all engine. I do have the money for the sr but if I could I rather get the rb and spend money on other things for the car :) I know this topic has been done before, but I just need a little guidance right now. Im hopeing to be able to order my engine by the end of the week... so i really need to decide! damn it i hate being so undecisive :sad

Seems like you wanna go the cheaper route and looks like you've made up your mind already. Go with the RB!

Haha Ive pretty much decided to go with the sr. The rbs are nice but i forsee many more problems in the long run than with an sr. Plus Im only looking for 300-350whp so an rb25 is almost overkill especially because of the added weight and install problems. Im prolly gonna order a redtop next week from venus-auto.
