was debating which engine to put into my s14, until i stumbled across a guy and his shop who had two ca motors for sale, he sold one a long time ago and now cant get rid of the other, so i offered to take it off his hands for 400 bucks, not kidding he is also basically giving me another ca motor n/a for free. Im getting ca18det motor, trans, turbo, intercooler, and piping, along with a ca18de engine, there is nothing wrong with either engine but am going to rebuild the det. Im gonna need a someone to answer some questions i have before i go thru with it. Im pretty confident that i can swap it into my car but wondering if anyone knows of a difference between swapping into an s13 verses the s14. Wiring is going to be my biggest problem, btw im gonna need a wiring harness and ecu sometime soon. I figure im gonna get a 88pulsar maf, I dont want to reprogram my computer for a z32 maf,

Im basically going to put new head bolts, shotpeen the rods and put new pistions in. get a metal headgasket, thinking hks, if the crank bearings are bad get new ones, other than that im wondering if the stock down pipe will work with my catback exhaust, also wondering which motor mounts i have to use. lastly about wiring i dont quite understand what in the hell i have to wire up, the wiring harness goes into the ca computer taking the original ka computers place, but what do i have to wire up? sorry this is so long, any information would help also you can email me at [email protected] with any information. thanks

Does your location refer to Washington State or Washington, D.C.? Just curious if we have another NW CA on our hands. That would be pretty sweet.

Is that the meet at golden gardens in Seattle? What time is that, cause I might try to show up, since I don't think I'm working, although I'm apprehensive about showing up with my daily driver (Plymouth Sundance...aaaaarrrrgghh) since my 240 is dead in the driveway while I take the engine out. Anyways, post the time of the meet if you could. Definitely wouldn't mind meeting some other CA guys. As far as you tech questions on putting a CA into an S14, I've only ever seen one post on the subject, which you could find on here by doing a search. You should be able to use the KA MAF, if I'm not mistaken, since I plan on using my SOHC MAF.

i dont think it actually starts at a specific time its gonna be a bbq outside if the weather permits, best time to show up probably around 1 pm, thats when ill be there. So your car is getting ready for your ca, thats tight as hell. let me know how far youve gotten, and what youve done to your ca motor to make it more reliable and able to hhold higher boost.

I heard somewhere before that the rods were shot peened from the factory as well as the crank was knife-edged... thats why the motor was so expensive to produce therefore discontinued..... maybe I was misinformed?

The turbo is a T3/T04e with a stage 5 wheel, .62 a/r and .50 trim. The most ive run on it so far was 10 psi till i spun a bearing. As soon as i get it built again...hehe...who needs a wastegate!!!

Hehe... ironically enough, its name is Zuki, short for godzuki, and if you ever seen godzilla the cartoon.. you'll know exactly what i am talking about.

I am considering selling the turbo and going larger on the compressor side and a bigger a/r. This turbo will support 440rwp, I will be looking for 500+ with the larger bobo. The t3/t04e has like 500 miles on it, so if anybody is in need, it will cost ya 600 + shipping :)

Sean--> yes, I do work for Enjuku Racing. Yes I am in Orlando. My car is in pieces now for a rebuild, so seeing my car would be looking at an empty S14. :) I will be at the Sat night meets with my car as soon as its running.
