Im forced to make a decision. I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX hatchback.I have $30,000 for it, but dont know if I should spend all of the 30 G's on it or sell it and buy a whole 'nother car worth $45,000.

If I spend all 30 G's on the Honda I will replace the engine with a Nissan SR20DET or a Skyline R34 engine.I was also wondering if anybody knew if either of these engines would fit the Honda body.

Also if I decide to sell it, which car does anybody reading this suggest?

Thankyou all for responding!!!:D

Well, I think if you dump $30K into a $15,000 Civic, you're going to end up with a $15,000 civic when you sell it. Being biased toward Nissan, and if you want to spend that much on vehicles. Id suggest keeping the Civic stock and using it as a daily beater and buy a fun car, like a used 300ZX TT,for example, for fun. That way you'll have enough money left over to insure/maintain both cars! Food for thought

Or spend $10k on buying/modding a 240, do like yeswepromise said and invest $20k and have everything! My opinion is that if you dump $30k into a Civic, you will ultimately be highly disappointed and out $30k. That's a hell of a lot of cash brutha.

This is all assuming that the $30k is not just pocket cash for you. If it's just that, well do whatever blows wind up your skirt!

Or you could give the money to me and I'll get a leaf blower for you. I think both yes and repo hit it on the nose. Investing in a hot mod and just spending cash to make your Honda faster are two totally different things. It's all about the outcome. Do you want an invaluable ride when you're finished or one worth about $35k?

Definitely keep the civic daily driver and buy a project car. Pick up a 240 for 1500-3500 and make it go real fast, or a 300zx TT for that matter (just takes more $$$)

Someone said the SR is FR...how bout you stop forgetting that the SR comes in transverse layout too *cough*bluebird engine*cough*. But I agree with the general consensus. Buy a 240SX. You won't be dissapointed.
