Im forced to make a decision. I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX hatchback.I have $30,000 for it, but dont know if I should spend all of the 30 G's on it or sell it and buy a whole 'nother car worth $45,000.

If I spend all 30 G's on the Honda I will replace the engine with a Nissan SR20DET or a Skyline R34 engine.I was also wondering if anybody knew if either of these engines would fit the Honda body.

Also if I decide to sell it, which car does anybody reading this suggest?

Thankyou all for responding!!!:D

Umm... it *could* fit into the body, but that's going to be many thousands of $$$ to customize. I'm guessing you'll probably have to do some cutting and getting custom engine mounts made. Your whole front end will have to be redone because you won't have the option of using your Honda Axles. So basically everything that runs your car will be Nissan. It'll be a lot of money. Personally I don't think it's worth it. Take the 30g's buy yourself a 240sx, drop an RB26DETT into there get yourself like 500hp, throw on a kit, some paint, wheels, suspension, tires and you'll have yourself a kickass 10 second car and still have money left over to buy yourself some dinner, movie and gas for the car.

Or, buy something cool. Buy something that comes with a lot of power to begin with. Like say, a Skyline, since you posted in this forum. Or maybe a 300ZX. Or a Supra, RX7, etc.

For $45 g's, you can buy yourself a nice R32 GTR, and put a few thousand bucks into it and have yourself a realy nice sporty car that is fairly rare in the U.S.

Or, you can buy something like a Supra or RX7 and dump $15-20k on mods and have one sick killing machine.

The SR20DET in a Civic is different, but it's not necessarily different in a good way. It just doesn't make sense. And the RB26DETT would never fit.

There was a guy in another thread on here who had a R32 GTS-t for sale for $7500, and it's already in the U.S. $7500 for the car, $16000 to legalize it, and you still have over $20,000 to mod it. Do something like that rather than an SR or RB powered Civic DX.

If I were you and had $45k to blow I would call Motorex today and buy the R32 GTR they have for $34K http://www.motorex.net/m_stocklist.html Then I would intake, exhaust, Apexi power fc, suspension, rims+tires with the left-overs. That would be what I would do the day I hit the lotto

Eric

EDIT- I forgot turbo upgrade

Pick one, I'm sure you'll find some decent cars for sale on those sites.
