im confused... lights

ok. get in my car at night. start it. front fog lights come on (the set of lights at the bottom on the front) and the light for my clock comes on. turn the dial side of the wheel to headlight spot one. Daytime running lights come on headlights dont pop-up (thier not on underneith either) and clocklight goes out

turn it to the last position and the headlights popup low beams come on; aswell as my clock light comes back on, pull the stick towards myself and the highbeams come on but dont stay on... this normal??? lastly. the dash lights dont work and the dimmer switch does nothin. the retractor button dosent work either and someone already cut the brown wire....

help me. ..... also the side markers dont come on as daytime running lights. but it is a S13 HB SEso are they just reflectors?

It sounds like your combination swithc is seperating internally, the only way to fix that is to replace the switch. Also your dimmer switch could be bad. check you voltage outputs by backprobing the combination switch after consulting the FSM

do i need some sort of a volt meter to do this? if so what kind would suit me best??
