Im burning gas fast!

this is kinda general cause i have no idea what the problem is but for some reason im burning gas faster then normal. when i open up my hood it sounds almost like the fan is not as tight as it should be in place. i dont know how that could affect the gas but thats about the only problem i have noticed. in general what could cause this?

do a SEARCH for "running rich" there's been several running rich threads in the past week. They all say the same thing, check O2 sensor, Coolant temp sensor, MAF..blah blah blahyou can even try a search for "bad gas mileage" :thinker
