I don't believe the car overheated. According to the dealer, when the engine in the G35 senses that it's starting to overheat, it basically forces a stall (it didn't completely stall, but it would stop and start and stop and start, etc.), and basically forces you to stop to protect the engine. There was still some coolant left in the radiator at the time, although not much. Also, I did notice that by the time the tow truck arrived 1.5 hours after I called Roadside Assistance, I was able to start the car and drive it on to the truck without a problem - no stalling, etc., and drive it off the tow truck into the lot at the dealer. This to me makes sense if that car had a chance to cool down by then, and the engine was no longer forcing me to stop.
Today I drove the car back from Philadelphia to DC and had no problems. It feels back to normal. However, I am still worried that some permanent damage could have occured based on some of the comments in this thread. How could I best figure out if the seals were damaged?
Thanks a lotTamir
