I Just bought a 2004 6MT Diamond Graphite G35 Coupe w/ no Spoiler. The Car has 37K on the odo and i paid 19,600 out the door, anybody think it was a good deal. I have one question though, the transmission is very smooth but getting into 5th gear is tight. Ive never had this problem on the other 3 manual cars ive owned, does anybody else have this problem. Overall i think it was a good deal.

Welcome aboard and congrats on your new toy!!

Do you find it hard to shift when spirited driving or it doesn't matter how you're driving?

Post some pics in the Members Rides area as well!

5th gear is a bit tight in my car too...I think its just the way the trans is built. Check out our modification sticky to get some ideas for your car.

Welcome, You got a good deal, well, any 6mt below 20 is great, yours has low milage, so you should be safe...

I had some shifter probs before, It would kinda squeek a little bit going into second, I would maybe check the bolts in the shifter housing, I had a similar prob in my old car, tech fixed it free of charge in less than 30 mins... said the bolts were kinda loose, fixed it for free, I had to chase down the damn worker to at least buy him a coffee or something...

I find people look for money when you drive a nice car, so you'll probably have to fork some cash out, Good luck, post some pics, and let us know what happens.

Just a thought, but 1st to 2nd is just pushing down. Push up and the stick will go to the right to center and into 3rd. Down into 4th.

5th require up and over and then 6th is just down. I'm wondering if you're used to a zig zag shift pattern instead of an extended H pattern like on the G.
