ILLINOIS Ms checking in...

I think I know of most of us in Illinois but I just want to hear from all of us on here. In the last two weeks or so I have seen a few silver Y34 Ms cruising around and am wondering if they are on here. A couple weeks ago I was at K&Gs in Lombard(Butterfield Rd just east of I355) and saw a silver 03 with chrome 20s(not my style wheel but looked decent on the car) and another silver at Hooters at Woodfield Mall.

Oh, Larry, we moved this weekend and are somewhat settled in. We should set up another cook out and let the kids hang out sometime.

You didn't see mine. Unless it was today around the Sugar Grove area. I live in Peoria, and I can almost promise I have the only Y34 presence in that area. I've only seen other Y34's on dealer lots and when I go up to Chicago. One of these days we should all meet up in Joliet and hit the 66 raceway. It'd be nice to do some bracket racing again, maybe a little test and tune.

I ride my silver 03 through sugar grove once a week on my way to sandwich...we should all meet up and get some dinner in downtown naperville or something...rib fest FTMFW!

I would deifnately be in for something... when I had my Trans Am we used to do test and tunes at Rt. 66 in Joliet... they're very accomodating of car clubs and what not. There are local shops that will let us dyno at extremely discounted rates too. Something like that would be a lot of fun. My parents live in Morris, IL and they do a "Cruise Night" like 4 or 5 times every summer... I would LOVE to get everybody together and show some Y34 and F50 love at one of those nights...

I think we're all planning on meeting September 8th at the Cruise Night in Morris, IL. It's just west of Joliet on I-80 and pretty easy to get to... not to mention a free, huge car show.

Do you know Morris area well? Where is a good place for all of us to meet before the cruise? Do you know a good place to eat? I'll be coming from the north on Rt.47. If this works out there will be several black/black Ms there.

There is a Jewel on the corner of Rt. 47 and Rt6 on the way into downtown Morris. We can all meet there around 4 and grab dinner before heading into the car show. Just so you know it's $10 a car to be in the show. There are prizes and all sorts of stuff based on the car class. As long as no one brings in M5's or S63 AMG's I think one of us will have a good chance at taking some money and a trophy.

There are a TON of good places downtown to eat and they'll have vendors and all sorts of stuff set up as well. The show runs until 9 pm so if you guys want, I know the downtown bars pretty well if you want to grab a drink and a game or pool or darts. One of my buddies is coming up with me, he has an older S6 so we'll have some German sedan company.

Ooooohhhh, Audi S6, so gorgeous! Those cars are one of my all time favorite cars to drive. Oh wait are you talking about the 90s S6 or the last body style S6 Avant?

It's an older one... with the I5 and single turbo. VERY fast car though. This kid comes from a family of money, so his was a replacement for an A6 2.7T with upgraded turbos. Must be rough. His dad just sold his turbo M3 for a 2003 Porsche Turbo.

Must be nice! I like the old body style S4s and S6s but the second gens are much nicer I think. Of course the newest NA ones are sweet too!

I've got an '03 M45 and I live in Plainfield. I found this site by accident but the information on here is great! I didn't realize that there were so few first gen M45s produced.

I've seen a couple around here actually. One black one and another white one I see kind of frequently. I must say that the white one looks really sharp.

I saw that some people are going to go down to Morris next weekend. I might try to make it down there. Depends on how busy I am. It's always cool to see other peoples cars and what they've done to them and how it turned out.

There is a Jewel at the corner and it's a nice, easy location to meet up before we head downtown. If you're coming from the south just keep heading north on rt 47 past downtown. Depending on how early you get there, you may see some of the show on the way. Grundy County Sheriff's are usually out in force around cruise night, however can be rather lenient so try not to get on it too much on the way down.

If I'm not in the parking lot by 5:30, head downtown without me. I'll post on here Thursday night and check in with everyone.

Hopefully we'll all meet up Saturday and have an awesome time!
