Is it legal to have a Skyline in the US? I heard we can only import them through MotoRex?

As far as I know, Motorex is the only importer currently that can fully legalize them. There are other ways around the problem, but thats my understanding of it.

the only other way "around the problem" is to risk having your car impounded and crushed at your expense.

Motorex is the only current importer who can legalize skylines. other people are working on it but no dice yet....

I was trying to put that nicely...perhaps it came out as endorsing that method, something I certainly dont recommend ;)

nobody forgot RB. RB can't legalize them yet. That's why they have several sitting at mrex right now awaiting legalization. we love Rb and Sean Morris. thye WHOOP ***. I called Sean the other day about my car and he was very helpful and stuff and I ddin't even buy anything from him... He's just a kick-*** guy and RB is a kick *** place, but they still can't legalize their own cars yet, thought they do buy them and import them or so I've heard.

found a loophole i think...just gotta wait till 2010 and we can start importing r32s.

"A list of approved ICIs is available from the EPA. Vehicles at least 21 years old are exempt from... these provisions and may be imported without modification."

That's not really a loophole, because it's a pretty well known law. By the time 2010 comes around, I don't want no 20 yr old skyline junker.
