I drive a maroon s13 hatch. You could probably spit on my house from yours (that close). How bout you, maybe I've seen you around. I'm still down for the 30th, pending I finish my 300zx brake conversion. I have had the brakes for a while, but just been lazy. Last night they started grinding like crazy so time to get busy. If not the 30th though, definately the 6th. Hope to see you all there.

Hey Fred, that's me. I'll be bringing stickers. Lets just do both the 30th and the 6th. So just to get things straight, we're meeting at the Woodfield Hooters. Do we have a time set? How's 8:00pm sound?

Jon Domo and d1sr240, if you're going, do you guys wanna meet up on the way? I'm in Wheaton, and you guys would be going through that area. That goes for anyone else who'll be in the area.

Just bought a new memory card for my camera, so I'll be able to take a ton of pics.

btw Jon Domo, do you need an extra set of hands with your brakes?

I was refering to D1SR240, but I'm sure I can't be too far from all of you. I am still hoping to go, but as the week goes on it is looking worse. It is kind of a long story. Worst case scenario, maybe I'll come in someone else's car and bring pics of my own (hope thats not the case, but it will have to do).

Underground, definately could use all the help I can get. I'll post back when is good for me. What day is good for you?

30th might be better for me because the 6th I may have plans.

Jon Domo, today I can't do (tuesday 26), and thursday I'm busy until 5, but so far everything else is open. Catch me on AIM (underground57) or give me a call: 630.665.2146.

And what Matt said. The night will be that much better if everyone makes it there and back in one piece and without tickets.

Doomed2Walk wrote:Just 3 of us :[ but fun none the less. I drove the RHD Fairlady, was kind of scary. We need to get organized so more people show up! Anyone down to meet on a Saturday in November?

Pics will be up soon, don't know how they turned out though, it was kind of dark.
we're already "organized".....i don't know what you foolio's are doin! here's an idea........move this thread to the actual "NICO Regional Meets -> Central Region (illinois)"

AND

try and get in touch with me or Simba to edit the Chicago 240 Meet Website.....uhhh, that's why we came up with it. so all the different 240 boards can be on the same pagehttp://www.geocities.com/chicago240sx2004

The last "All Nissan" meet at Busse......well i only found out about that by accident- since the Maxima guys that came up with it- forgot us 240sx guys existed. So I only had 6 days to announce it on all the 240 boards- it wasn't worth editing the Meet Website since i made threads on all the boards.

THEN

I heard "some NICO" guys were planning a meet at Hooter's on the 30th of October off of ClubFR. I go to the NICO Meets section- totally BLANK. "So WTF is going on?" I say.So i do some more searching and look in the General 240sx section and find a 3 page "Illinois 240 Meet" thread?!?And there was a 240 meet that nobody except you guys knew about had already passed! And there is a meet in 4 days?!?

Aiight- now you know- let's all work together in the future. NOOBS!

Heh, my fault. I don't think I'm going to Madison anymore, b/c I'm poor :[ So I will be at the meet. How about someone schedule a date in November (not the 6th) and we start spreading the word and get it big! Anyways, see you guys Saturday.

Yo Boardman, watch your mouth bro. Everyone already knows about the site. Don't jump on and start calling everyone noobs.

Anyways, I appreciate all the replies for help. I'll keep everyone posted. BTW, would any of you have a REAR DRIVER'S SIDE CALIPER NON ABS? If so, let me know, I would love to trade some soft green paper for it. If I don't finish the brakes I might still come out with the car for the 30th - I'll just be gentle. Anyways definately still down so let me know.

I'm sure he's just joking. But it's true, we need to get all the 240 guys in the area on one page so we can get info about meets easily.

I don't want to make a battle of who's "cooler" because they have been in the scene longer, but I've been coming to the meets for over two years now, before it was ever really organized. I've gotten into it with you before and you are always so quick to run off at the mouth, so I was saying before you let it run and make yourself look like an idiot, stop.

i have no clue who you are- as of now. Are you the guy i E-argued with over something- and i mentioned to be careful who you piss off because right before that you listed where you work over by ButterfieldRd./Oakbrook?

Have we ever shook hands and chatted at a meet? Dayum I'm the friendliest guy around- if you've been coming out to meets for 2 years we'd be on cordial speaking terms at least- none of this misunderstanding BS.

This is not a contest. And I don't carry hard feelings- EVAR.But it's funny you guys had a 240 meet and only 2 ppl showed because the word wasn't spread.

edit:yO Jon, i suggest going to your local junkyard for the rear caliper- i know Victory by O'hare has at least two S13's....and i drilled my 300zx rotors to 4-lug myself- we can meet somewhere to get me the rotors and i can have them to you the next day for a couple bucks. We can do the whole conversion in an afternoon if you want- but i do my work in my buddies garage so i'd have to run it past him.Why would i offer to help- because i always help locals out whenever i can- i'm not as angry as you think.

If you need any info on the conversion let me know.

Yeah, that was me. Like I said, I don't really want to get into it with you and I didn't appreciate the rudeness even if it was a joke. We all have the same interests (240's and girls ) so let's drop it.

I'll be seeing you all at the meet!

If you're having a meet just let other forums know- unless it's only "NICO 240sx Owners".

Be sure to make threads on these forums (in the Meets section when appropriate):http://www.freshalloy.com240sxforums.co ... .netClubFR

just make a thread and announce it- they will come.

I don't think our meets are meant to be exclusive in any way. For me at least, I only have accounts on maybe 2 or 3 of those sites, and NICO is the only one I actually visit on a regular basis. Besides, I think the initial meet was kind of "spur of the moment" if you will. Fred gave me the idea to get everybody's contact info at the meet, so we could start getting the word out better, which includes hitting up all the sites you mentioned with the info. Also the reason why this thread is here instead of in the meets section, is probably because most of us are too lazy to go there when we're already all here (or at least for me). Just chill, man. We're working on this.
