I have a 97 Maxima SE. I recently finished a lot of work on it before a shop screwed something up with it. The car was running fine before then.

Now, everytime you go to start the car, it blows the coil pack drivers in the main ECU for cylinders 2 and 5. That is all we can figure out. It cranks no problem but I need to find out what is causing this to happen and stop it. The car has a Greddy E-manage Ultimate wired in to in as well. The last thing to be changed before the problem occured was replacing the transmission.

I have had at least 2 so called wiring guys look at it and paid them for doing nothing. Let me know if you can actually fix this problem. Please post here or PM if you can help. Willing to pay you if you can fix it. Thanks in advance.

If your blowing in the factory ECU, I can only imagine that the emanage or how it is wired in between is the issue. Have you been in touch with greddy about the issue to see what they have to say for themselves? What was the shop doing to the car that may have caused this?

Greddy is not willing to help. I was told that I am taking up too much of their time. What a load of sh*t. The car was running with the EU previously but if something went wrong with it, I have no way of knowing this. I can only send it back to them to have it tested for a cost to me. I rather not have my post turn into a war with the shop that screwed up my car if they are on this forum.

I am looking for someone local that can work on finding the issue. I did pick up an additional EU and 2 stock ECU's to get this taken care off. Just need someone that know what they are doing for really. Sick of the "I can fix anything" bull with no results.

I wasn't asking for what the name of the shop was, pretty irrelevant at this point, just wanted to know what work they were doing so that people might have an idea of what could have gotten messed up to make this happen. I'm have no idea how much your set up depends on the emanage, but you might try bypassing the ignition wires from it to see if that fixes anything. Popping the cover off the emanage and looking for burnt components would help rule that out too.

The shop screwed up the trans, fuel lines, wiring, and some other things. Since then I have had everything fixed and the car was running. That is except for the trans. Had to wait for that to come back from NJ. I will be looking into the EU to check for damage tomorrow.

Well, I was able to get the car to start today. Finally! I replace bothe ECU and the Greddy EU. The car started right up. The 1st EU was the problem.

So I have another question. What is the engine timing at WOT for my car from Nissan?

1997 Maxima SE 3.0L V6 Engine code is VQ30DE.

Please let me know. My tuner wants to know before he put it on the dyno. Thanks in advance.
