ignitor pack

while reading the link to change the spark plugs saw a photo of an ignitor pack, i dont have one of these. just wondering if im missing something, i purchased the car used.

96 Q45 ecu has the ignitor [switching transistors] built into ecu and coils.

Well the coils are different that might not be the impovement you would think.

We never see coil failures in 90-95..............cost cutting redesigns are never 100% perfect.
