I picked up a 1996 VH45DE for my S13 and it did not include the ignitors so I bought some off a member here and he shipped my ignitors with the part number 22020 60U00, Hitachi models. The ignitors I got will not work with my engine and I am in need of the correct ones.

Could someone either give me the correct part number or point me the correct way?

Thanks

1996 coils are driven directly by 1996 ecu.If you want to use ignitors best to use 1990-1995 coils and 90-95 ecu.

All about matching and not overloading tiny transistors in early ecu, the 1996 ecu just has more robust switching transistors so ignitors are not needed.Ignitors were phased out across all makes, models brands and integrated within each coil beginning in 1996 and especially 1997.

1996 VH45 is the least desirable engine because of VVT deletion, cam duration changes and emissions not to mention impossibility of easy OBDII ECU reprogramming.
