3 simple ways of testing.
ecu output to igniter chip 1,2,3 11,12,13 will output
crank .2-.3vdcidle same2500 rpm 1vdc
the 2 pin white and black is the 12vdc and ground for the coil packs. and yes your fine soo far.that simply tells you if the ecu is sending signal to the igniter chip
Now for the igniter chip(too much trouble to check resistance)!!!!!1
so simply pull out the coil pack with the spark plugs then put the coil pack with the harness plug and spark plug installed put the spark plug down to the chasis and have someone crank while you watch for spark at the plug.
no spark and good signal from ecu guess what it's the igniter chip
problem solved.
ensure you go through all six for proper verification.
and for safety ensure your hand is not on spark plug while you crank.and if you do this take out the puel pump fuse.
I can't get no spark , I got a new ignitor chip from venus, but they probably pulled it off another clip, so Im not even sure if its good? The damn thing was working before now its not.
Ok, so if im gettin 12 volts at the white connector with the ignition on, is there any other spots I should be gettin voltage from ? or is that pretty much a for sure that I have another ignitor chip problem?
and the ECU to ignitor chip output you're talking about. If I probe the ecu connector at 1, 12, 3 ,13, 2 , 11, 10 i should be able to see voltage through the ground when im cranking right?
